The BP4 is a musicians' collective founded in the year 2000 with the purpose of
working together on creative/improvisational music in an
experimental/workshop-type format. The cover design of the BP4 CD is a
computer enhancement of sketches that each of the four members of the group
drew of their own instruments. Highlights of the BP4 session include Tom
Parker's ode to Brazil, "DeJaneiro Sunrise", and "Judith", Bob Paskowitz's tune
written for his partner and wife, Judi Souney. Bassist Jason Schwartz
contributed an outstandingly crafted jazz composition to the BP4 CD entitled
"Enthalpy", and the two takes of "Ben's Dilemma" showcase pianist Ben Kohn's
talents as a composer and improviser. Bob plays some Klezmer-style soprano
sax on "Yisroel", the band's group collaboration which borrows from the Jewish
incantation, "Toras Toras Chayim, " or "Sacred Scrolls of Life".  Recorded June
2001.
